Student Services

CCS provides a variety of integrated academic, behavioral, and wellness support services for students.

The district utilizes MTSS, a framework to support the academic and behavior needs of all students. MTSS stands for Multi-Tiered System of Support.  This approach helps staff to identify students who may be struggling and then determine the level of support needed to intervene and help the student succeed.  The student's progress is monitored and supports adjusted to best meet the needs of the child.

CCS also uses PBIS, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, a system to promote good behavior.  The focus is on teaching expectations and preventing problems.  Expectations for students are described and reinforced in a positive way.  Rather than saying, "Don't run in the halls" the explanation becomes "We walk in the halls."
