CCS offers two childcare and enrichment programs for students after the school day ends.

About the Program

Cherokee County Schools offer affordable NC state-licensed childcare centers serving students of Murphy Elementary and Martins Creek. After School is a safe, structured program with time for students to start homework, enjoy a healthy snack, and engage in fun activities.



Program Hours


Monday through Friday on regular school days from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm


Cost


$5.00 per day

Subsidy assistance is available through the

Department of Social Services.


Registration

Pre-registration is required for students to attend. Forms can be obtained at the school office and returned to the school's Site Coordinator.


About the Program

21st CCLC programs provide both academic enrichment and supplementary academic activities and resources to promote student academic success and growth within the school environment.  The focus of the program is to incorporate activities and projects that reinforce and enhance a student's learning experience beyond the regular school day.

Registration

Parents must complete an application in order for their child to be considered for this program.  Please note that due to funding, the program does not begin until October each year.
