One renewal credit (CEU) unit equals 10 clock hours of professional development, so it's a good idea to start the renewal process early!  Need some ideas for PD?  Check the CCS Professional Development page.

Submit certificates from completed PD sessions and transcripts from college courses through Timekeeper.  If your license expires in 2022, submit your CEUs by May 2022.

If you have not already, create an account on the NC Department of Public Instruction's (NCDPI) online licensure system (OLS).

Central Office staff will send evidence of your CEU credits to NCDPI in May.

You will need to use the NCDPI OLS to complete the Statement of Application and pay the license renewal fee.  The renewal application section should appear on your NCDPI OLS dashboard on May 1.
