Licensure & Professional Development

Learning happens over a lifetime. CCS staff are encouraged to participate in a variety of professional development opportunities to enhance students' instructional experiences, to keep their skills sharp and to stay abreast of the latest education research. Grade level and content-specific professional development meetings support and inform teachers of the latest changes in curriculum and testing.

Educators are required to maintain their professional educator's license by completing eight Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every five years. CCS staff should submit professional development certificates to Central Office through the Timekeeper system.
