Social Studies Teacher - Andrews High School.  (Certification in area required.)  Position will remain open until the position is filled.


High School Business, Finance, Information Technology Teacher - Hiwassee Dam High School.  (Bachelor's degree in business education required (NC teaching license and certified in 760 business education grades 7-12.)  2013 Microsoft Office Specialist certification and proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe suite preferred.  Position will remain open until the position is filled.


Middle School Business Computer Skills Teacher - Ranger/Martins Creek Middle Schools.  (Bachelor's degree in business education required (NC teaching license and certified in 760 business education grades 7-12 or 7860 business education grades 6-9).  Proficient use of 2013 Microsoft Office and Moodle preferred.  Position will remain open until the position is filled.


English Language Arts Teacher - Tri-County Early College.  (Certification in area required.)  Position will remain open until the position is filled.


World Language Teacher - District.  (Language Certification required.)  Position will remain open until the position is filled.


K- 6 Certified Teacher- Andrews Elementary School.  (Certification in area is required.) Position will remain open until the position is filled.

Teacher Assistants (Regular Education and Exceptional Children) – District.  A two-year degree is required and experience working with students is preferred. Some of the positions requires a medical background experience. Position will remain open until the position is filled.


Speech-Language Pathologist District.  (Applicant must hold a current Speech and Language Pathologist license. ASHA certification and/or North Carolina Board of Examiners preferred.  Experience working with school age children preferred.) Position will remain open until the position is filled.

School Psychologist – District.  (Applicant must hold a Master’s Level School Psychology Degree.) Position will remain open until the position is filled.


Exceptional Children’s Teacher  K-12– District.  (Certification in area is required.) Position will remain open until the position is filled.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – District.  (Minimum of two-year Associate’s Degree accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.  Applicants must have passed the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy(NBCOT) certification exam and hold or be eligible to apply for state licensure.) Position will remain open until the position is filled.

Speech-Language Pathologist – District.  (Applicant must hold a current Speech and Language Pathologist license. ASHA certification and/or North Carolina Board of Examiners preferred.  Experience working with school age children preferred.) Position will remain open until the position is filled.

Music Teacher - Hiwassee Dam Schools K - 12.  (Certification in area required.)  Position will remain open until the position is filled.

Custodian - Andrews Elementary.  High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Position will remain open until the position is filled.

Qualifications: 

  •     High School Diploma preferred or equivalent. 
  •     Able to remain standing for duration of the shift.
  •     Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  •     Computer skills a plus
  •     First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  •     ServSafe Certified preferred
Job Description:
  • Final prep for breakfast and lunch.
  • Serving and cleaning of kitchen/serving area/dining area and other duties assigned by cafeteria manager.
  • Training as a backup cashier.

 Hours:  Vary by school for a maximum of 207 days per school year.
